The Homestead's New Lazy River!

The heavenly Homestead just got a bit more heavenly.  Man, were we lucky!  We had planned our trip there a while back, not knowing how great the timing would ultimately be.  The brand-new Lazy River opened on Wednesday, and we got there on Thursday.  It was amazing!  Daddy Mac kept saying, "I'm impressed.  I'm impressed."  We all were!  Wow -- they really outdid themselves!

First of all the entire setting was absolutely gorgeous, so serene with stately white railings and bridges crossing over the meandering lazy river.  There were tons of pretty white chaise lounges spread all over, some partially submerged in the water, just to be a wee bit more relaxing if possible.  Aaaah!  There were waterfalls, water spouts, and spraying water for a festive atmosphere.  Plus  the gorgeous original rectangular pool was just the same.  It's hard to improve on perfection.

The Lazy River itself was wonderful with many different entrances, a zippy current, a refreshing temperature, and many clear inner tubes for floating along aimlessly.  The River was also extremely well patrolled with lots of lifeguards with whistles already in their mouths ready to blow on a second's notice.  Atta go, Homestead!

Known since 1761 for its famous "hot springs," those hot springs became the inspiration for the small village's name of Hot Springs.  (I'm quick like that.)  The Homestead has some fabulous deals going on now through the end of the summer.  So get thee to the Hot Springs before they are inspired to change their name to Lazy River!

And check out the fabulous new toddler area as well with mushrooms, sprinklers, and even a fun area to play in the sand.

PS  Also there are two new waterslides underway, to be ready very soon!  Woo hoo!
